Why did The Conjuring movies stop being scary? What started as one of the most chilling horror franchises ever has slowly become predictable, and even boring. In this video, we break down how The Conjuring Universe lost its edge, how franchising hurt horror, and why films like The Nun, Annabelle, and The Devil Made Me Do It just never lived up to the originals. Note that Conjuring Movies aren't over. This was simply phase 1. New Line has made it clear that they hope to make even more Conjuring movies, Conjuring 5, more Annabelle, maybe even more The Nun movies, and they might call it The Nuns, I don't know. Of course, now that Netflix has purchased Warner Bros. all this could change, but I doubt Netflix is gonna pass on this delicious cash basket called Conjuring Universe, but we'll see.
