German Chancellor Angela Merkel says she′s prepared to consider providing extra debt relief measures to Greece once its latest economic reforms are worked out. In a television interview on Sunday, Merkel said she was ready to discuss reduced interest rates and extended maturity dates. Merkel stressed,... however,... that this would happen only after details of the latest bailout had been agreed. She also stated that there would be no debt write-off. The 80 billion euro bailout deal agreed after marathon talks between eurozone leaders earlier this month was conditional on Greece imposing tough new economic reforms. Some relief for Greeks though... as the country′s banks are set to open on Monday for the first time in a few weeks.
