New Year's Sunday Morning Service Representative Prayer

New Year's Sunday Morning Service Representative Prayer

Three-Minute Representative Prayer for the First Sunday of the New Year Holy and merciful God, our Father, we are truly grateful for the gathering of the community of faith in worship on this first Sunday of the new year, the Lord's Day. In this first worship service of the new year, we exalt You, the Lord of time, the beginning and the end. As we look back on the past year, we confess that we have not come this far by our own strength or wisdom, but only by Your grace. We remember Your hand, which has sustained us whenever we stumbled and guided us on the right path even in moments we did not know, and we offer thanks and praise. God, you have granted us this new year, 2026. Please help us begin this year with gratitude. May we live this new year with faith, not anxiety and fear, with hope, not worry and calculation. May we seek Your will before our own plans. At this time, we pray for our nation. Have mercy on this land, which is in the midst of chaos and conflict, and may justice and righteousness be established. Grant all the leaders of this nation a heart of reverence for God and the wisdom of service, and may all citizens respect one another and achieve unity. May this nation become a tool used by God, a channel of peace and life. Next, let us pray for the church. May the church, the body of the Lord, fully fulfill its mission as the light and salt of the world, and may it become a community united in love, standing firm on the Word. May you grant humility and loyalty to those who serve, comfort and renewed strength to those who are weak, and may your kingdom expand throughout this land through this church. We also place the next generation in your hands. May our children and youth walk the right path in your truth, and may they grow into a generation of faith that holds fast to your Word, unwavering in the voices of the world. Through them, may the future of the church and the nation be established according to your will. God, grant that all of us who have participated in this service may move forward in faith and hope into the new year. Help us to look to your promises, not circumstances, and trust in your unseen work rather than the visible reality. May we become believers who walk with you every day and worship you with our lives. Please joyfully accept this worship service offered today, and empower the pastor who delivers the message with the power of the Holy Spirit, so that each word proclaimed may come to life. Prepare the hearts of all of us who hear it into fertile soil, so that your word may bear fruit in our lives. I entrust every day of this new year to you, Lord, and trust in you to complete what you have begun. In the name of Jesus Christ, our hope, I give thanks and pray. Amen.
