A documentary about the settling of accounts in France at the time of liberation and the practice of shaving the heads of women accused of collaboration. It examines the treatment of collaborators in Chartres on liberation day. It looks at the work of Robert Capa and Ralph Morse in Chartres on that day, at how Capa came to capture this particular image and at how it has been subject to different interpretations over time. The focus of the second half of the documentary is on the shaven-headed woman, Simone Touseau, looking at her path to this humiliation and her life after it.
