Loose Screw Uncomfortably Numb & J.R. Torrey 11/16 Straight Razor shave

Soap: Loose Screw Uncomfortably Numb Bowl: Thirsty Badger Ceramic Brush: AP Shave Co 24mm SynBad Razor: J.R. Torrey 11/16 Straight Razor Post: Prohibition Style Bourbon Barrel This weekend I finally got around to using Loose Screw Uncomfortably Numb soap. This soap is made by Rick at Loose Screw ( formally Scent, Suds and Steel) on YouTube, if you haven't checked out his channel please go do so. The scent on this soap is very unique and interesting. It contains Incense, Oud, Berries, Pepper and Lavender. At first I honestly wasn't sure if this scent was for me, but I'm glad to say that it grew on me very fast. It's a rich warm scent that has a blast of sweetness and freshness. Until I asked Rick what the scent notes where I couldn't figure out what I was picking up that brought the sweetness, obviously the berries. Scent strength wise I'm rating this a 6 or 6.5 out of 10, it's basically perfect for me. Strong enough to hit your senses and envelope the den while shaving. As for slickness, hey a straight razor shaver made the soap so I wasn't expecting any issues here and I was right. Both initial and residual slickness are excellent with no issues moving the blade or razor across your skin and with enough residual slickness to buff with a straight razor. Over this soap is a winner for me, I just need Rick to make splashes now. Happy Shaving!
