The Treehouse (Music Show) PLEASE WATCH - THEN GO TO MY GoFundMe PAGE TO HELP ME EARN THE $$ TO LAUNCH THIS THING AND DO IT RIGHT: AUDIO & VIDEO EQUIPMENT, LIGHTING, POST-PRODUCTION EQUIPMENT, etc... HERE'S THE LINK: http://www.gofundme.com/TheTreehouseShow Now’s the time to go after what I’ve wanted to do for more than a decade now, since my time working in Las Vegas TV news (and long before Daryl started doing it live from his house :,) ) -- my own interview show with musicians, many from my neck of the woods in northern California. I hope you’ll help me support musicians, their passion and ours. There’s so much talent out there who just need a little help to be successful, so I’m going to give them a unique showcase, a place to perform, to entertain and to spill their guts and gain fans. I’m opening my home among the oak trees outside Sacramento to them, along with my studio complete with bar (for a little libation lubrication.) Each show will feature in-depth interviews and live performances with those singers and song writers from all genres. And every now and then I’ll bring in a special celebrity guest -- a friend and possibly music legend, to share some rare stories from the road and biz, deep insights that could help any aspiring musician. And once in a while we will take the show on the road. So, I humbly appeal to your love of music (I hope you’re as passionate as I am,) to your appreciation of the audible art as a sweet and luscious layer of life. What I respectfully request is the initial financial support to buy the audio, video and studio production equipment that will enable me to bring to you and the world in-depth, honest, insightful interviews and live performances that will showcase the talented singers and song writers from northern California and elsewhere. I also have plans to improve the look and workability of the studio set. This show will air monthly at first, then weekly, on YouTube and/or my own website, and eventually on a cable or satellite channel soon. During my 20 year TV career I’ve interviewed and befriended many in the entertainment industry, especially the music business, as you can see in my short video demo reel. I’ve built a Rolodex with industry contacts and I know how to produce and market a show like this to build a steadily-growing fan base. I’ve dedicated time, energy and valuable airwaves to profiling music artists whether known or unknown, local to international, as long as they had real passion for their music and wanted it to be heard and enjoyed by others. In fact, I wanted to share my love and appreciation for artists with my viewers as often as I could. I hoped they’d like them as much as I did. From the dozens of kids who made up the tightly competitive South Dakota high school marching band to the four members making up one of the most outrageous and well-known rock bands – KISS, and from local garage bands Jonsing for a record deal to the singer who’s reinvented himself twice during his 40 year career and went on to earn his spot in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame – Sammy Hagar. They’re all important and I want you to help me showcase them. If you help me reach my goal I will give you the opportunity to sit in on a private recording the next time you’re in the area. I will acknowledge you in the rolling end-credits of each episode, in order of donation amount. And your name and photo will be immortalized on a “Wall of Appreciation” in the studio. And if that’s not enough, please know that you’ll be contributing to a very worthwhile cause, helping save and support the music arts. Thank you for your consideration and God Bless You. Shawn Boyd
