I’m honestly a bit embarrassed to be sharing this — but I’m doing it just in case it happens to any of you. We hear so much about implantation bleeding, but around this time I was listening to a podcast where medical professionals explained that true implantation bleeding is actually quite rare. More often than not, what people think is implantation is simply their period starting. Unfortunately, I fell riiighhht into that camp. In June 2025, the timing lined up perfectly with when an embryo would theoretically be travelling and implanting — and my cycle had never changed so drastically before. I truly didn’t think this was something that would happen to me. But it did. My cycle shifted, and I wasn’t pregnant. Even now, editing this back, I swear I see a line on that test — which makes me think it’s worth being cautious with easy at-home pregnancy tests and evaporation or indent lines. Let me know in the comments if you see it too. As I write this in December 2025, I hate to admit that I’m still having cycle issues. Since this moment, my cycles have varied anywhere from 22 to 26 days, which makes predicting ovulation — and timing ultrasounds — incredibly frustrating. If this has happened to you, I’d really love to hear your experience. And if you’ve ever felt embarrassed or “punked” by thinking you were pregnant only to find out you weren’t — please know you are not alone. #ttcjourney #fertilityjourney #implantationbleeding #cycletracking #ivfjourney
