FBI chief says IS bigger threat than al-Qaida

(24 Jul 2015) FBI Director James Comey says the threat posed by the Islamic State group, through their social media campaign to recruit "terrorists" in the United States, is the agency's number one focus. Comey told an audience at the Aspen Security Forum that the threat the group poses is even larger than any attack al-Qaida may be planning. Part of the challenge, Comey said, is the group's use of social media which they use to try to radicalise Americans. "Their mission is to crowd source terrorism," he said.
