Colorado BDR Section 1. Is it underrated? Should you ride it?

I was told numerous times over the past four to five years that I should skip Section One of the Colorado Backcountry Discovery Route and jump ahead to Section 2. I rarely do what I am told so I decided to try out Section 1, in the middle summer, when it was really hot, and rain was in the forecast. I am very glad I did. I rode this section on my 2023 Aprilia Tuareg 660 and had a blast. The entire trip is full of great scenery and it will test you in different ways. Stick around and see my thoughts on this section.
