WORLD RECORD - Legend of Hero Tonma (Any% TG-16) - 6:27

Legend of Hero Tonma is an action platformer that favors Ghouls 'N Ghosts-style of play, but is far easier. Still, with one-hit KOs, the game is no pushover. This world record run was accomplished on a PC Engine Duo using a Turbo Everdrive. Because the standard-issue controller for the Turbografx included turbo functionality, this run does use turbo primarily for attacking and once very briefly for jumping at the final boss. The PC Engine is the Japanese release of the Turbografx 16. This run improves my old time bu 50 seconds, but unfortunately I stopped my timer during the run in my excitement. More time can be saved and TAS (tool assisted speedrun) strats can be employed, at least in some cases. -- Watch live at   / nmetv
