‘We would be in a bad situation if Rishi Sunak was a real Tory’

International Trade Select Committee chairman Angus MacNeil has said the country would be “in a bad situation if Rishi Sunak was a real Tory,” in response to the Chancellor’s £30 billion mini budget. Speaking with talkRADIO’s Julia Hartley-Brewer, the SNP MP said: “We’re maybe more fortunate than there’s somebody more on the left wing in Number 11 Downing Street, somebody more aligned to social democracy than somebody more aligned to traditional Tory values.”
