Convicted rapist Marko Omere sentenced to life
Life behind bars with the possibility of parole after 45 years. That was the sentence handed down against convicted rapist and kidnapper Marko Omwere on Monday morning. "Strangers. Weapons. Breaking in. Frankly and honestly, the victim here is lucky to be alive," stated prosecutor Matthew Heibel, recommending that the court show no mercy. Earlier this year, Omwere was found guilty of rape, kidnapping, and home invasion.
