Betrayal | Final Fantasy XIII (13) 100% Walkthrough "28/64" (No Commentary)

In this part, we continue making our way through the Fifth Ark and encounter Cid Raines. We learn that Cid is also a l'Cie and that his Focus is to keep us on the path to Ragnarok as Barthandelus wants. Cid then attacks us to try and rebel against Barthandelus, forcing us to defeat him. Electrode x3 (14 of 15 The Fifth Ark Treasures) - 55:32 Boss: Cid Raines HP: 226,800 Recommended Equipment: Lightning - Gold Bangle, Doctor's Code Sazh - Rigels, Power Wristband, Brawler's Wristband Vanille - Magician's Mark, Shaman's Mark Paradigms: 1. Rav/Com/Sab --- Start with this one. 2. Rav/Rav/Sab 3. Rav/Rav/Med ***Before starting make sure to use an Aegisol and Fortisol. You'll need 3 TP to summon Odin too, so if you don't have it, use an Ethersol. Strategy: Cid's fight gets far harder the longer it goes on, so it's best to end it before you reach a certain point. If you go beyond said point, Cid will use "roles" like ours to change the tide of the battle in his favor and it'll get much worse. When Cid's health reaches around 135,000 or so he'll use his "roles" so make sure you read the strategy below carefully! When the battle begins, let Vanille cast Deprotect, Deshell, and Imperil (if you can land Poison go for it, but it's not required). When Cid gets to around 150,000 HP, we swap to 2 or 3 depending on whether or not Vanille's debuffs had all been applied, and let Sazh attack alone as his Rigels prevent him from Staggering Cid. Once Cid reaches 140,000 HP, and preferably as close to 300% Gauge as possible, then summon Odin. Once Odin hits the field, Stagger Cid and spam Auto-Battle with Lightning's Ravager to fill the Gestalt Gauge. Once the gauge is filled, immediately enter Gestalt Mode. If you have time, use your normal moves to deal some damage to Cid, but make sure you use Zantetsuken to finish Cid off before the Stagger ends!
