Haken - 1985 (Bass Cover)

This one is long overdue! Used to bash through it a lot soon after its release, but could never quite get my hands round some of the more awkward corners. Came back to it a few days ago and got it to a standard I was super happy with pretty quickly! Unfortunately I managed to chop off the bottom of the bass on this one, but I was too happy with the take to adjust it and shoot it again, so it is it what it is. This was all recorded in a single continuous take as usual - no cuts, no overdubs, totally live! Unfortunately I can't provide tabs, as I learned this one from the official Affinity bass tabs. Email Conner at [email protected] if you want to buy them! If you're interested in transcribing from my video, the bass is in standard 5-string tuning (BEADG low to high). As with most music, this is totally playable on a 4-string in standard tuning, but you'd have to mess around quite a bit with putting things up an octave etc. Gear used: Squier Classic Vibe 70s Jazz Bass (fairly old) Ernie Ball Super Slinky strings (40-125) Shure SE215 in-ear monitors Schaller S-locks Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 Ableton Live Lite Neural DSP Parallax Follow me on Insta:   / chrisbevanbass
