The bill specifies that the President of Pakistan will take oath before the Chief Justice of Pakistan, while the senior-most Chief Justice between the Supreme Court and the Constitutional Court will serve as Chief Justice of Pakistan. Additionally, members of the Election Commission will also take oath before the Chief Justice. During proceedings, the Chairman of the Senate announced that Shah Mahmood Qureshi has submitted his resignation, while Saifullah Abro’s resignation can be reconsidered.
