Event Speech: Private Sector Engagement and Women’s Economic Empowerment: Lessons Learned

Professor Linda Scott outlines why a broad-scale, cross-sectoral alliance joining the private sector, civil society, international agencies and national governments will be necessary if women’s economic empowerment is to be achieved and sustained on a global scale. Her report argues for a new approach for including women - one that makes use of the special capabilities of the private sector and harnesses the world economy for change.
