Supreme Court asks UP govt to expedite probe in Lakhimpur Kheri case

The Supreme Court has come out and spoken on the Lakhimpur Kheri case. The SC has given directions to the cops. The Supreme Court has directed the cops to take steps to protect the witnesses. And has also asked the Uttar Pradesh govt to expedite the probe. The bench was represented by Chief Justice of India (CJI) N.V. Ramana and he told the UP govt as well as forensics to speed up the probe. The Uttar Pradesh govt will now have to give a full status report of the case to the Supreme Court on November 8.
