Heavy rains cause massive waterlogging in Chennai, IMD issues flood alert

Following heavy rainfall, several parts of Chennai reported extensive waterlogging on Monday. The bus and train services were disrupted, affecting the normal life in the city. As per the India Meteorological Department, heavy rainfall is expected in coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu from 9-11th November due to the northeast monsoon. The authorities have also sounded a preliminary flood alert in Chennai.
