Sunday, June 26, in Medjugorja: An interview with visionary Ivan on the anniversary of the apparition by the Italian website Oggi. After a while, the young Ivan Dragičević, one of the visionaries from Medjugorje, blinded by ecstasy, could no longer resist the apparition, so he asked the following question to Our Lady: "Mother, how can you be so beautiful?" Ivan is one of the six Medjugorje seers, one of three who says that he still sees Our Lady every day, 41 years since the beginning of the apparitions. These are the longest apparitions of Our Lady in history dating back to June 24, 1981. Believe it or not, Medjugorje is certainly an impressive phenomenon - although the Church has not yet officially recognized it - it attracts millions of pilgrims to this shrine in Herzegovina every year.. In 1993, Ivan married American Laureen Murphy with whom he has four children and lives between Boston and Medjugorje. He travels the world a lot and tells people about his extraordinary experience. With great difficulty we managed to ask him a series of questions. Here are his answers that we received for an exclusive interview. Eevahn, you say you have seen Our Lady every day since 1981. Has she changed in those 41 years? "Our Lady is always the same: a girl in her prime. She has a gray dress and a white veil, and wears gold dresses on Christmas and Easter. Her eyes are blue and her cheeks are pink. She has a crown of twelve stars on her head, and stands on a cloud descending from the ground, reminding us that She is a creature from Heaven and flawless. But I can't really convey her beauty completely." How do you feel during the apparition? What are your emotions? “I can hardly describe my feelings during the apparitions. I witness something on earth every day. The Virgin is Paradise itself. Her presence gives you such joy, it permeates you with such light! But everything about apparitions is sublime. Sometimes in the background she shows me happy people or a place of shining angels in a beautiful place full of flowers. It all ends when the apparition ends. It is difficult to adapt, because nothing in the world, in art or nature, has that color, smells and does not exude such perfect harmony." Who is Our Lady for you: friend, sister? I see Our Lady as a Mother. My earthly mother took care of me until that day of apparitions (June 24, 1981, when the Virgin first appeared, she has been Our Lady ever since. They are both excellent mothers, but as I experienced love for Our Lady, I realized that Her blessings, Her prayers, Her advice are food and crucial for me and my family. There is nothing more beautiful than when She addresses me, saying: "Dear child!". That is the first message: we are children of God and we are loved. We are the children of the Queen of Peace who bridges the path from heaven to earth because she loves us.
