Kat's best friend randomly selected Fury from the Deep for the subject matter of the latest podcast. This is one of those 'lost' stories, so we're delving back into the world of animated reconstructions for this one. The Second Doctor, Jamie and Victoria find themselves in 1975, at the site of a sea gas refinery, where sentient seaweed is running riot: possessing people, sabotaging the equipment, the full works. This story marks the first appearance of the Sonic Screwdriver and the last appearance of a companion (until 1993). We also briefly touch on potential developments on missing episodes and on a missing soundtrack. Meanwhile, Rain finds himself in the doghouse, the gang keep accidentally/deliberately [delete as applicable] insulting different countries, and Kat reveals her replacement?!
