Three blasts minutes after midnight wounded eight people, including the six foreigners, the iTV television station reported. One foreigner was rushed to a hospital with one of her legs blown off, the report said. Earlier, six blasts rocked the Thai capital, prompting the city to cancel major public celebrations, police and health officials said. The culprits and motive were not immediately known. The bombings in several parts of the city capped a year of unrest in Thailand, including a military coup three months ago and a mounting Muslim insurgency in the south.
