Celebrities are speaking out after Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night talk show “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” was taken off air “indefinitely” following comments he made about the reaction to Charlie Kirk’s death, who was fatally shot on Sept. 10 at Utah Valley University. An ABC spokesperson confirmed to NBC News on Wednesday that the talk show “will be pre-empted indefinitely.” During Kimmel’s monologue on Monday, the comedian criticized some Republicans for how they responded in the aftermath of the shooting as he speculated about the motivations of suspect Tyler Robinson. “The MAGA gang [is] desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” the late-night host said.
