Peak Rail 'Steam Gala' 2024. All footage filmed on Sunday 11th August 2024. The weekend of the 10-11th August saw Peak Rail hold their 'Steam Gala' with 45596 "Bahamas" taking centre stage. Usually a mixed-traffic event, this time the roster would be formed from all steam locomotives along with two passenger sets and a demonstration goods train. The 'Jubilee's' visit was fairly significant as it was the first time a member of the class had worked on the southern part of the former Midland Railway route through the Peak District since 1967.
