Nhelv (Extreme Demon) by SrGuillester, notlsa & Dienid | Geometry Dash

This journey was much tougher than I have imagined but in the end I am grateful it didn't end in disaster. I always felt intruiged by Nhelv ever since its release in early 2021. Even though I wasn't a big fan of memory levels Nhelv stood out as more than just a memory Extreme Demon. I always used to enjoy watching people beat Nhelv as it was absolutely satisfying to watch at. So after finishing RUST I made the decision to grind this masterpiece of a level. As I have already stated in the video, by the time I beat RUST I have already done 83-100% before which is one of the two hardest parts of the level. What was left was to learn the remaining 83%. It became apparent rather quickly that to full understand how each individual part or section works I had to invest more time to learn the level than usual. After finishing the learning process I have realised two main things. The first thing was that the drop section (39-57%) is harder than any part in RUST (except for the last cube) and secondly that the dual ship section (66-69%) is extremely inconsistent due to the physics of dual ship gravity. Generally speaking the balancing of the level is pretty alright. I had thought that Nhelv leans towards being first half heavy yet that thought quickly eradicated as I now think that both halfs are equally as difficult: The first 38% are pure muscle memory. Even if you die here and there (tbh mostly at the Ball section) this part should get consistent rather quickly. 39-57% is a nightmare to learn but it gets surprisingly consistent after a few days. What I can recommend is to watch closely at how I skip the quad-click at 55% and the green orb at 56% as it makes the ball considerably easier. Overall muscle memory is a key factor for this part aswell. 57-71% would be the most consistent part if it wasn't for the dual ship. I cannot really explain how to live with that but if you wanna know how I did it most of the times just check my Raw Footage down below. The UFO is pretty consistent though and the break cube is pretty self-explanatory. The mountain section and build-up at 71-83% is the most iconic part of Nhelv. To be fair it is the easiest part of the second half but due to the lack of dense click inputs the nerves start to rack up here. I died at the mountains four times and at the predrop leading into the last duals four times aswell and most of my deaths were mostly due to nerves. What I can recommend is to overpractice this section so you don't get nervous once you get there for the first few times. 83-100% gets heavily carried by the 86% wave click and the weird nature of the 2nd dual. Now remember you enter this part after over 2 minutes of intense gameplay which further stresses the nerves even more. I recommend learning this part at the very beginning as fully understanding how the last part works is trivial as it is really easy to choke it. After having beaten the level I have to say that even though this level is an absolute masterpiece it isn't nearly as enjoyable. This might be due to my somewhat unlucky experience towards the end and the nature of the last duals. I still love this level but I would be careful having too high expectations heading into beating it. I absolutely discourage people from jumping to Nhelv no matter how appealing and satisfying the level might look. If you have beaten several demons above it and have never played a memory Extreme Demon before I could recommend it though you need to invest a lot of time because beating Nhelv is an experience unlike any other. Also (if possible) use MegaHack v6/v7 as much as possible. Especially the "Show Hitboxes (on death)" and "Speedhack" to make the learning phase less of a chore than it already is. Lastly, I do think RUST is a better Extreme Demon than Nhelv. Dedicated to The Lads.
