WEX Wakeup: Trump brushes off dictatorship rumors; Jamaal Bowman to face censure

#washingtonexaminer #wakeup #recap #wexwakeup for Wednesday, December 6☕☀️ Former President Donald Trump danced around accusations that he would implement a dictatorship if he were reelected president in 2024 during a Fox News town hall Tuesday night. Moderator Sean Hannity hosted the event in Davenport, Iowa, where he twice pressed the former president to address accusations, including from his longtime foe former Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney, that he would be a dictator if the country sent him back to the White House in 2024. President Joe Biden admitted he may not have sought reelection if former President Donald Trump did not announce his own campaign for a second term. "If Trump wasn't running, I'm not sure I'd be running, but we cannot let him win," Biden told donors on Tuesday in Boston. Pressed on the remarks later Tuesday when he arrived back in Washington, D.C., Biden said Trump launching a White House comeback solidified his 2024 re-election campaign. "I expect so," Biden said on if he'd run without Trump, "but look, he is running, and I have to run Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) is the latest House member to face a censure vote over accusations the New York Democrat intentionally disrupted congressional proceedings by pulling a fire alarm in a congressional office building earlier this year. Rep. Lisa McClain (R-MI) filed a privileged censure resolution on the floor on Tuesday, forcing a vote on the measure within the next two legislative days. The move builds on previous efforts by McClain to punish Bowman for the misconduct, which has so far failed to make it to the House floor for a full vote. _____________________________________ Here are today's top stories: https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/ne... https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/ne... https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/ne...
