Defund CPD, Decolonize Zhigaagoong | July 17, 2020

On Friday July 17th Black, Indigenous peoples joined in a solidarity rally and was met with police violence. Chi-Nations, BLM Chicago, GoodKids MadCity, Brave Space Alliance, ChiResists and many others sponsored this beautiful display of solidarity. The Chicago Police Department was founded before the city of Chicago in 1830 as part if the Indian Removal Act. Since they were founded the Police have continued to target Indigenous and Black peoples.
