A Highlight Compilation for the Spokane Empire The Spokane Empire (formally the Spokane Shock of the AFL & af2). The Empire were based in Spokane, Washington. They played their home games @ the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena. The Shock had to change their name due to the AFL owning the rights to the Shock name. The team was owned by Spokane businessman Nader Naini. The team shut down operations due to financial decisions.
