With a contract agreed on by negotiators, now teachers will have to decide on approving the Eagle Point School District plan. It's back to school for students in Eagle Point. Although teachers were on strike for only a week the strike loomed as negotiators were back and forth on a contract for 14 months. With the midnight Wednesday agreement teachers will be allowed to have prep time while their schedules can be adjusted. Insurance will also be increased for full time employees and part time works. And contracting of outside work will be on hold until 2014. The District's Mike Remick says it's a plan they can afford. Teachers and staff now have to vote on the plan which union spokesperson told theDove News he thinks is finding favor with the rack and file.
