The Passionist Chaplet of the Five Wounds was approved by Pope Leo XII in 1823. It consists of five sections, each composed of five Glory Be’s in honor of Christ's Wounds and one Hail Mary in commemoration of Mary, His Most Sorrowful Mother. During each of the sections the Wounds of Our Lord Jesus Christ are piously meditated upon.
