Christian Critics of Ex-Gay Ministry: Part 1 - The Renounce Column
In Becket Cook's editorial on the "Pray Away" Netflix documentary, he conceded points made by the film and joined in criticizing the work and mission of Exodus International and consequently the various member ministries and counselors that help Christians with unwanted same-sex attractions. Attacks on transformational, ex-gay ministry and SOCE or reparative therapy are becoming increasingly common from different streams in the Church. In today's video, I will be responding to the criticisms from Christians in the Renounce column, those who reject a gay identity while focusing on repentance and mortification of sinful desires while also discouraging counseling efforts (ministry or therapeutic) to modify the attractions or resolve underlying wounds.
