Why are there so many versions of the Bible?! This is the fifth episode of my new series, Introduction to the Bible. In this episode we’ll talk about the Bible’s original languages: Hebrew and Koine Greek. As we trace how the Bible’s languages developed over time, we will learn a lot about the Bible and the people who wrote it. We’ll also answer important questions like: Why are there so many different versions of the Bible? How did we get the Bible in English? Which translation of the Bible is closest to the original? Which translation of the Bible should I read? What is the best Bible to get for Bible study? Talking about the Bible’s original languages can be nerdy, but it certainly helps us to put Scripture in perspective and understand its spiritual meaning. If our goal is Christian mysticism and spiritual growth, then the more we understand the Bible and where it came from, the better. Thanks for watching!
