Alabama Prisoners On Strike Over Slavery Conditions In Lock Up

Two Alabama prisons were put on lockdown last week after a coordinated labor strike in as many as five correctional facilities that began on Sunday, May 1. The strike has been organized by inmates from the “Free Alabama Movement” in an attempt to draw attention to inhumane living conditions and systemic deprivation within the state’s prisons. The protest’s leaders expect the work stoppage to last 30 days. We look at the prison labor strike on the Lip News with Melvin Robert and Elliot Hill. http://abcnews.go.com/US/alabama-pris...
