Cloud and co defeat Jenova Birth, before landing on Costa Del Sol. At the beach, they confront Hojo who suggests that Sephiroth went through Corel. Thus, we continue our search for him through Corel. On our way, we learn of the complications between Barret and the people he grew up with in the newly rechristened Corel. In Gold Saucer, we learn from Dio that a man in a black cap sought after The Black Materia. At some point, we end of arrested because a man with a gun grafted to his arm went on a rampage, and that matches the description of Barret. We get arrested and locked up at Corel Prison, where we find out that Barret is searching for the actual perpetrator. The warden of this place which was once the actual Corel, Dyne. With the help of Coates, we find Dyne and face off against him. He tells Barret after their one on one that his hands are too stained to hold Marlene and that he harbored too much anger for too long before sacrificing himself to protect Barret from a Shinra Security Officer. We receive a buggy from Dio as an apology. Cait Sith also joins during all of this, but I do not foresee myself maining him. In First Soldier, we make our way to rescue Rosen, who rejects us because he is aghast at us wiping out every other other person from his tribe. Sephiroth attempts to have a heart to heart with him as the island is falling apart, but he chooses to wipe him out to save the rest of us, as Rosen tells him he does not want to survive in a world he does not understand. Glenn, while upset kicks the memento of the mother of Sephiroth. In the end, they were only able to save the dog. In the flash forward, Sephiroth realizes that Glenn is there to inform Sephiroth of an explosion in Fort Tamblin in order for Sephiroth to heroically provide an exit strategy for the rest of his platoon. Sephiroth contemplates becoming a real hero, and we are given a teaser of his other adventures in his youth. Meanwhile, in Crisis Core. Zack and Sephiroth defend Shinra headquarters from some Genesis Clones. They invade the hideout of Hollander where they attempt to stall out the escape for Angeal, as they want him to survive. Angeal speaks about his own feelings of being a monster, and why he chooses to side with Hollander in order to find a way to become human again.
