Nobody Home is a song from the 1979 album The Wall, released by Pink Floyd. It also appears in the Pink Floyd: The Wall film about the album. In the song "Pink" he describes his isolated life within the mental wall created by himself. He has no one to talk to and the only thing he owns are his material things. The song describes what Roger Waters says he experienced during the 1977 tour (the band's first major stadium tour). Additionally, the song contains some references to founding member, Syd Barrett. The song was written following an argument between Waters, Gilmour and co-producer Bob Ezrin during the production of The Wall, in which Gilmour and Ezrin were trying to convince Waters to include another song on the album. Waters then wrote "Nodody Home" and presented it, two days later, to the band. It was the last song that was written for The Wall. On The Wall's 30th anniversary episode of In the Studio with Redbeard (US radio show), David Gilmour revealed that "Nobody Home" was one of his favorite songs on the album. #pinkfloydthewall #pinkfloyd #rogerwaters #4k #davidgilmour #pinkfloydreaction
