Top #jumprope skill to lower the impact that my students 💗 #jumpropebeginner #tutorial #funfitness

A lot of people think there’s only high impact ways to jump rope. I want to change that. So many people are intimidated by jump rope and think they could never do it. That’s why I wanted to share this skill. Did you know you don’t even have to jump over the rope to do jump rope. One of the first skills I teach beginners is the arm wrap. It’s simple, it builds coordination, and it feels really fun once you get it. You just wrap the rope around your arm and then unwrap it. Here I’m showing you consecutive arm wraps, so take a look at how I’m moving my wrists. I taught this to a client recently and she unlocked it in one session. We didn’t even jump over the rope the whole time. This is such a great option if your knees, ankles, or back are not feeling great or if you just want something lower impact but still want to move. Jump rope is not just about fast boxers or CrossFit double unders. Those are fine but that’s not the only way. If you’ve been thinking jump rope is too hard or too high impact, this is for you. Wraps and flow skills make it accessible at any age. You can learn these even as a complete beginner. You don’t need a dance background or to be an athlete. You just need a rope and some curiosity. I started jump rope over ten years ago with a bad knee, so I know what it feels like to need low impact options. These kinds of skills are perfect if you want to rediscover joy in movement, add some variety to your workouts, and build confidence in what your body can do. If you want me to make a step by step tutorial on arm wraps let me know in the comments. I’ll be sharing more tutorials, workouts, and ideas to help you see that jump rope doesn’t have to be scary. It can be fun. It can be flow. It can be a workout. And it can be something you can do even if you never thought you could.
