Perfect for Sunday dinner or any day you want real yard-style comfort food. 👇 FULL OXTAIL RECIPE BELOW 👇 🐂 JAMAICAN OXTAIL RECIPE 🛒 Ingredients 3–4 lbs oxtail (cut into medium pieces) 2 tbsp browning 1 tbsp all-purpose seasoning 1 tbsp garlic powder 1 tbsp onion powder 1 tsp black pepper 1 tsp salt 1–2 tsp paprika 8–10 pimento seeds 1 medium onion (chopped) 3–4 garlic cloves 1 stalk scallion 2 sprigs thyme 1 Scotch bonnet pepper 1–2 carrots (optional) 1 can butter beans 1–2 tbsp oil Water or beef broth 🔥 Instructions Wash oxtail with lime/vinegar. Season with all-purpose seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, pimento, thyme, scallion, and browning. Let marinate at least 1 hour, or overnight for best flavor. Heat oil in a pot and brown oxtail pieces on all sides. Add onions, garlic, and Scotch bonnet. Add enough water or beef broth to cover the meat. Cover and cook on medium-low for 2–3 hours, adding water as needed. When tender, add carrots (optional) and butter beans. Simmer until gravy thickens and oxtail is sticky, rich, and flavorful.
