3rd Arrest In Delhi Liquor Policy Scam | Abhishek Boinpally Arrested | Breaking News | English News

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday made a fresh arrest in the ongoing Delhi excise policy scam case and apprehended a businessman named Abhishek Boinpally. Boinpally was allegedly lobbying for certain liquor businessmen based in Southern India, CBI officials said. He was called for questioning on Sunday. The CBI officials took him into custody late last night after they found him to be evading key questions. Officials said he was allegedly involved in the “cartelisation” for “Southern lobby.” Boinpally has close links with ruling party in Telangana and is a co-director of Robin Distribution which pocketed commissions from the liquor firms or wholesalers who benefitted from the Delhi excise policy. When ED conducted raids and searches, Robin Distribution was the firm that was searched the maximum number of times.
