House churches have been around since the first days of Christianity. This was the original way Christians met to worship. The church building was a second century innovation. The early church grew rapidly and part of the way they were able to do that was through having a meeting place that most people could facilitate. House churches are also highly practical. It allows people to be close and go deep. It also allows the funds from the giving to go directly to needs rather than to facilities.
