The inspiration behind this video: The original movie premiered in 1997, and it featured an A-list cast, led by Jennifer Lopez, Ice Cube, Jon Voight, Danny Trejo, and Owen Wilson, with Luis Llosa at the helm. It followed a film crew who are taken hostage by a hunter in the Amazon jungle who was trying to track down a massive snake. The 1997 film led to three other sequels, 2004's Anacondas: The Hunt for Blood Orchid, 2008's Anaconda 3: Offspring, and 2009's Anacondas: Trail of Blood. In 2024, a Chinese remake premiered. The upcoming comedy horror film was announced in August 2024 and will have Tom Gormican at the helm, who co-wrote the script with Kevin Etten. It will also star Daniela Melchior, Thandiwe Newton, and Selton Mello. Although the upcoming movie is a reimagining of the first, isn't described as a direct remake, but takes a more meta-turn, following a group of middle-aged friends who go to reshoot their favorite movie from their youth.
