Microprose Formula One Grand Prix [SPECIAL] - Pixeliges Renngefecht

Back when Intel's i486 was still quite new and expensive, there were still only pixel-rich games, but they still managed to impress. Textures were slowly but surely making their way into the mainstream. You can get a glimpse of this in the 1991 F1 racing game "Microprose Formula One Grand Prix," where we play the 1992 DOS version. It featured an extensive arsenal of tracks based on real-life circuits, with almost 30 drivers (all still with fictitious names) driving a small F1 car. Technically, the game was impressive, and even the gameplay was almost superbly implemented. Of course, there's also a choice between practice, qualifying, and the race. The animations of the pit stop crew and the accidents still delighted gamers back then. A revolutionary game series that maintained its excellent reviews until the fourth installment, released in 2002. ----------------------- ►►► GAME INFORMATION ◄◄◄ ---------------------- MICROPROSE FORMULA ONE GRAND PRIX (1991) Racing game by MicroProse WEBSITE ► not available -------------------- ►►► MORE INFORMATION ◄◄◄ --------------------- Commented gameplay by kepu94 (2014) Computer used: RETRO-RECHNER 1 (Info at http://kepuweb.de/ausstattung.php) FACEBOOK ►   / youtubekepu94   (no longer exists) TWITTER ►   / kepuexe   GOOGLE+ ► https://plus.google.com/+kepu94 (no longer exists) KEPUWEB ► https://www.kepuweb.de
