Various of soldiers gathered around or inside vehicle STORYLINE A police official said a roadside bomb hit a vehicle carrying paramilitary soldiers in Pakistan's south-western city of Karachi on Friday, killing three of them. The police official said the bomb contained around 11 pounds (5 kilograms) of explosives and was planted along a road near an army cantonment. The blast on Friday morning also wounded four soldiers. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack. Islamist militants, including the Pakistani Taliban and their allies, have carried out many such bombings throughout the country. Karachi also experiences frequent violence caused by power struggles between gangs allegedly connected to the city's main political parties.
