Trump Suffers MAJOR Legal Defeat While Trying To Sue Accuser

Donald Trump's countersuit against E. Jean Carroll has been thrown out on its merits by a judge, with the judge saying that the countersuit was filed "in bad faith." Trump was trying to shut down Carroll, who is currently suing the former President for defamation after he attacked her when she came forward with allegations of assault against him. Farron Cousins explains why this is a very big deal for this case. Link - https://www.cnn.com/2022/03/11/politi... Don't forget to like, comment, and share! And subscribe to stay connected! Late last week, Donald Trump suffered a massive legal blow when his counter suit against E gene Carol was outright dismissed by a judge. Well, get into the specifics in just a moment, but I want to talk about what this judge said in this ruling. First, Donald Trump of course, had issued a counter suit against Eugene Carol, who was suing him for defamation. And Trump tried to go into court and argue via his lawyers, of course, that she was trying to silence my free speech. So the judge says the defendant's litigation tactics, whatever their intent have delayed the case, to an extent that readily could have been far less granting leave to amend without considering the futility of the proposed amendment needlessly would make a regrettable situation worse by opening new avenues for significant further delay. So basically this judge would us district judge Lewis Kaplan said that not only do you not have a case, but it's pretty obvious what you're doing here. You are trying to delay the inevitable, which is of course, facing justice for the defamation suit filed by Eugene Carol. So to the specifics of the case, if you've been living under a rock for the last few years, you may not have heard of Eugene Carroll for everybody else. You probably remember that Eugene Carroll is the, uh, former reporter who accused Donald Trump of sexually assaulting her in a department store dressing room in the 1990s, after she came forward with these allegations just a couple years ago, Donald Trump called her a liar, you know, uh, uh, basically said the look at her, she's not the kind of woman I would even consider doing that to which by the way, is a horrible defense, like, oh, sure, I'd do it to a pretty woman. But, uh, not this one, no, that, uh, kind of implies that you are in fact, a sexual predator. You just have a specific type. So anyway, after he made these claims against her, she sued for defamation, obviously a sitting president of the United States, labeling you a liar when your job is as a reporter. Yeah. It could significantly. And Eugene car says it has impacted her ability to make money in her profession. So yes, that would meet the legal definition of defamation. So what makes this case far more interesting and why this is the one that I have talked about the most, because I think it is the most significant is that Carol still has the outfit she was wearing that day, which she says has the DNA of her attacker. And of course, we, we all know what that means. They've run the tests on it. All they need Is a specimen to compare it to the specimen, of course would come from Donald Trump himself. If it's a match, it proves her claim, which means she wins her defamation case. However, it would not mean due to statutes of limitations in the state of New York, that she would be able, able to press charges against him for the assault, but it would prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Donald Trump did in fact, sexually assault her in that dressing room in the nineties. That's why this is so important. It's not about the money. It's not about Eugene Carol seeking clout. It's about proving whether or not this man is. In fact, the kind of sexual predator that multiple women have effectively made him out to be. That's why this case is important. That's why the judge clearly doesn't wanna prolong this any longer than it already has been. Trump's not in anymore. He can't claim executive privilege over, you know, lawsuits that, ah, I can't be bothered with this cuz I'm the president and I'm always so busy. You're just a retired old man sitting on a golf course down in the state of Florida. Time's up time to get that DNA sample and find out for certain whether Trump is a predator or not.
