Mission: Advance Lethality

For those who are familiar with the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit, they know that our Soldiers compete in a variety of shooting disciplines. However, many people don't realize that the USAMU Soldiers take all that experience in competition and turn it around into training for the force. Soldiers from each competitive team (Service Rifle, Shotgun, Action Shooting, International Rifle, Service Pistol) augment the Instructor Training Group in providing detailed marksmanship training to Soldiers across the force throughout the year. USAMU Soldiers have trained a number of servicemembers ranging from cadets to some of the most elite units in the Army. And by request, our team has trained other members across the Department of Defense. By sharing our expertise, the USAMU increases Army readiness through advancing lethality.
