The Best Vegan GF Glazed Donuts "Chai" (Oil Free, Plant based)

So sorry the video cut off a time or two, but we got through it right? My battery was low, but as you saw the donuts were fluffy and light and my Mom loved them! Recipe is here enjoy: Plant-based Chai Glazed Donuts INGREDIENTS 1 heaping cup gluten-free flour (I used Trader Joes) 1/2 cup unrefined sugar (coconut, date, maple, cane, or evaporated cane, I used organic brown sugar) 1 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp allspice 1/4 tsp ground cloves 1/4 tsp ground ginger (You can reduce the amount of spices by half to about 1/8 teaspoon each if you don’t want the chai flavor to be too strong but it tasted great with this amount to me!) 3/4 cup almond milk 3 TBSP of "EACH" non dairy cream cheese and apple sauce so a total of 6 TBSP (if you want you can use thick non dairy yogurt instead of the non dairy cream cheese that should work, or maybe sub more applesauce?? I didn't try that but it could work.) 1 tsp vanilla extract Makes 6 donuts. Bake on 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Best when their eaten fresh! The Glaze: I whipped together a quick maple glaze with tapioca starch, maple syrup, allspice, and enough almond milk to make it a glaze, but you can use icing sugar, my glaze however only holds up the day of I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re saving them for later..so I’ve added some plant based icing options for you that work great with these donuts, a plantbased cashew frosting would work great too!
