READ ME: 4-Team Battle is a very unique mode to Mario Party 7 where a total of 8 characters in 4 teams are competing in a board match. For this showcase, I've selected Mario & Luigi to go up against Peach & Daisy, Yoshi & Birdo and Wario & Waluigi in a team of 4 pairs competing against each other with the number of turns set to 20 at Brutal difficulty in Grand Canal. In my opinion, this is one of the coolest modes in Mario Party! Salutations! Welcome to Mario Party 7 on the Nintendo GameCube. While it is the final Mario Party game for the GameCube, it holds yet again some new and interesting features. The first one is a special mode called Deluxe Cruise, where up to 8 players can participate in a party board instead of the usual 4 players. Duty-Free Shop is where you can swap Cruise Mileage Points for various unlockables and souvenirs, such as unlocking the new characters Birdo and Dry Bones. Mini Bowser (Koopa Kid) is no longer playable. Instead, he becomes an Orb as well as a Mini Bowser Space. The game's staff credits can be unlocked there too at this shop. Just like in Mario Party 6, you can use the GameCube Microphone to play some Mic Minigames and they have become more involved in board matches. You can toggle between using the Mic or the Controller if you don't have a Mic.
