Resident Evil Village (also known as Resident Evil 8) is a survival horror game developed by Capcom and released in 2021. It's a direct sequel to Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and continues the story of Ethan Winters. Salvatore Moreau is one of the four lords who serve under Mother Miranda, the central antagonist of Resident Evil Village. He is grotesquely deformed, both physically and mentally, and is perhaps the most tragic and pitiable of the four lords. Moreau’s domain is the reservoir area near the village, where he resides in a decayed, flooded settlement. Moreau was experimented on by Mother Miranda with a parasite called Cadou, which mutated his body horrifically. His form is bloated, disfigured, and fish-like — capable of transforming into a giant mutated fish monster. Despite his hideous appearance and low intelligence, Moreau is extremely loyal to Miranda and desperately craves her approval, seeing her as a mother figure. His boss fight involves him transforming into a large amphibious creature that can swim, leap, and spew acid rain.
