Demon's Souls freezing on PS5 then CE-108255-1 (past character creation)

[Update from Jan/2021] Sent my unit before 2020's Christmas Holiday, and SONY replaced my unit, I had to wait around 30 days. I recommend everyone with this issue to first try all the steps from https://www.playstation.com/en-us/sup... and if these don't fix it. Contact your local SONY Support, it may take a few tries, but eventually, they'll have to take it in for analysis, and likely replace it. -------------------- So this is the problem I'm having, the PS5 was purchased in Brazil got it on launch (Nov/19); I have the Demon's Souls game both on download and on a disc, the error in the video happens the same way for both versions. I initially thought it may have something to do with the language because I've seen some reports on Reddit of people that got their PS5s that defaulted to a foreign language and they changed it to something else, but I saw other reports, with no changes to the language, with the same issue; I do not use an external storage device, and do not use wi-fi, my console is wired to my network; The freeze actually happens at the character creation screen, if I either try to type a name or change the character's appearance, it's almost instant. In this video, I managed to create a character with just one letter (managed to do it very quick) and I went with the default appearance; Notice the bizarre artifact (a black cloud) at around 0:20. I tried (after a factory reset per attempt, reinstalling the firmware via USB in Safe Mode): 1) just a regular factory reset; 2) using the local default settings (Portuguese - brazil system language); 3) turning off network via system settings (although apparently, it took seconds longer to freeze) 4) unplugging network wire; 5) not importing any PS4 data; 6) changing languages in-game 7) not linking a user account 8) tried disc version 9) tried download version 10) rebuilding the database 11) shutting off the system and unplugging the power cord does not fix the problem 12) different HDMI cable 13) turned off HDR and Deep Color options 14) turned off HDCP and HDMI Device Link 15) steps from    • CE-108255-1 | SOLUTION TO SOME PS5 GAMES [...   16) steps from    • PS5 Crashing and Freezing Guide - 10 Ways ...   17) steps from https://www.gamerevolution.com/guides... I could play with no issues: Spider-Man Remastered (PS5) Spider-Man Miles Morales (PS4/PS5) Astro's Playroom (PS5) Sackboy (PS4/PS5) Dark Souls Remastered (PS4) Ghost of Tsushima (PS4) all Media Apps Other games with similar issues (playable, but present the same error at some point): Watch Dogs Legions (PS5) - plays well, in about 30 mins of in-game, fps start to drop consistently until the error appears shortly after. Assassin's Creed Valhalla (PS5) - play with major stutters in-game, it's not playable, but it doesn't freeze, I'm sure it's related somehow as the error appears after about 30 mins of 'unplayable' gameplay. Call of Duty Coldwar (PS5) - plays well, about 1h in-game, the game would start to stutter and crash, for whatever reason Multiplayer matches also made it crash faster. Let's hope SONY manages to fix this soon.
