First Reading: 2 Timothy 4:10-17B Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 145:10-11, 12-13, 17-18 Alleluia: John 15:16 Gospel: Luke 10:1-9 VIDEO: [Sr. Alicia Wins Cooking Competition – video by Catholic Chicago]    • Sr. Alicia Wins Cooking Competition   Today we celebrate the feast of St. Luke, one of the four evangelists of the New Testament. Paul, at one point in his missionary journeys, said, Everyone of them deserted me. Luke is the only one with me” (2 Timothy 4:16, 11). Paul must have gained strength from the Lord, through Luke, who did not abandon him in his difficult mission. We are also called not to abandon those around us who need the Lord in their lives. Neither should we ignore them, especially, those who are lost, least and last in the eyes of society. This is the 559th installment of our CFC quarantine contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings. [NOTE: All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives.
