In an unexpected event, Hal would come across a spaceship that crashlanded nearby his home. In there, a dying alien named Abin Sur gave him a power ring and battery, proving that Hal was worthy of being a member of the Green Lantern Corps, an intergalactic police force meant to enforce justice around every sector of the known universe. Since then, Hal has been a huge help to the Corps, as well as a founding Justice League member. DOCTOR FATE ⬇️ At the age of 12, Kent Nelson, along with his father, Sven, journeyed to the Valley of Ur. Sven had squandered the Nelson family’s life savings to finance this trip, making him a laughingstock in the process. Nelson and Sven discovered an ancient tomb filled with ancient writing. However, Nabu, one of the Lords of Order, bound within a false body, commanded Kent to pull a nearby lever, which released poisonous gas, which killed Sven. As payment, Nabu bestowed upon Nelson arcane knowledge and rebuilt him to his physical and mental peak, transforming him into a being of pure order. Nabu then ordered him to destroy his false body, to which Nelson reluctantly complied, blasting the body apart, revealing the helmet hidden within. Nabu and Nelson went on to become great heroes and forces for order within the known universe. He is also a founding member of the Justice Society of America, around which time he took the codename “Doctor Fate”. Doctor Fate met Inza Cramer after he had saved her from the supervillain known as Wotan. Eventually, Kent took a job as a doctor to sustain himself financially, and Inza became a nurse to get closer to him. Eventually they married, despite Nabu’s objections.
