Scientists warn larger, more intense global wildfires ahead amid climate change

Across North America and all the way to Europe, countries around the world are facing unprecedented wildfires, as record-breaking temperatures fuel some of the worst blazes in years. In Italy, the small work of an arsonist has exploded into a roaring inferno because of hot and dry conditions. Meanwhile, the Dixie Fire in the United States has now turned into California's second largest wildfire in history, scorching nearly 250,000 hectares.
